World Cup 2010 Dream

I’m not much of a football fan. Heck, I don’t really notice what’s going during the whole World Cup 2010 fever. That’s why I wonder how the heck I could end up dreaming about the game that England lost to Germany.

*cue in mysterious music score*

I was in a beautiful garden. Those English-type outdoor garden in old movies. There are a few tables set for tea and guests mingling around. Somehow they are sort of anxious and restless, like waiting for someone or something. All of the sudden, JJ and Ean, the Morning Crew from Hitz.FM appeared at the garden’s archway and waving to the guests. They apologized to the guests for being late as they were busy entertaining all the incoming phone calls at the studio regarding on how England lost to Germany in one of the World Cup 2010 game.

~Of course, they didn't turn-up at the party in pink though...~

*cue in loud alarm clock ringing*
*woke up*

Do you know what was the weirdest part? I heard both JJ and Ean entertaining a call from this guy talking about the game over the radio, a couple feet away from my bed.

*shivers*

How odd? It seems that subconsciously whatever I heard, it can manifest itself into my dream.

The moral of the story: Don’t discuss secrets around me when I’m sleeping. It won’t be a secret anymore. lol

Emo Maximus

Right now, in the most uncomfortable way, sitting in front of the desktop….. Fighting the urge NOT to scratch.

Kutugirl the Tulan Cat

Yes… I am sick…. Yes… I am not happy… Boohoo… Are you happy now?
I’ve been suffering with only-God-knows-what of an allergy reaction. Possible culprit: Cement or the substance in it.
Yes, you heard it right. I am freaking allergy to cement. That makes me a freaking weirdo.
It is not funny when you’ve been suffering for more than 2 months just to learn the POSSIBLE cause, not ACTUAL some more.
It is not funny when you have to visit the GP or the specialist almost every 2 weeks.
It is not funny when every time you visit the specialist, ~RM100 will fly away from your wallet.
It is not funny when one of the source of the possible cause is my university due to the walkway renovation, where I walk every freaking moment, 5 days a week.
It is not funny when I’ve been skipping classes due to the darn itchiness, uncomfortable-ness and drowsy medications.
It is not funny that I have scars all over my hands, abdomen and legs.
It is not funny that I have no control over the symptoms, forcing me to withdraw myself from the physical world.

Yes….. Right now I am EMO MAXIMUS.
You gotta a problem with that?!?!

Planning To Buy A Residential Property in Malaysia?

If your answer is yes, stop and read this first. *grin*
OK, I’m not much of a book reviewer but as this is my first time I think I’m gonna do it Amazon.com style.

'A question asked properly is a question half answered'

At an affordable price tag of less than RM30 (at the time I purchase this book), allow me to share what I see and think about this book.

Who is the author? *points to the pic above*

Product Description
- Full colour cover
- Black & white content with text and tables
- Paperback: 99 pages (excluding 23 pages in ‘Appendix’ section)
- Publisher: TrueWealth Sdn. Bhd. 1st Edition (March, 2010)
- Language: English
- ISBN-10: N/A
- ISBN-13: 978-9675428111
- Product Dimensions: 8.2 x 5.65 x 0.25 inches

Excerpt from the back cover:
‘Anyone who has bought properties in Malaysia should know how complicated the law relating to properties are. At times, it seems to be so complex that you have to be a lawyer yourself to understand it. This book will help you at your moment of doubt and give you the basic idea of what you will face when you buy a property. It asks and answers all those basic questions which you have for your lawyer when buying properties.
Discover:
- The rules for lawyers in giving advice on properties
- How much can lawyers charge for each transaction
- The role of a lawyer after the Sale & Purchase Agreement has been signed
- Whether a lawyer can act for both the developer and the purchaser
- The remedies that are available when you are not satisfied with your lawyer
- The laws that are applicable for property transactions and the legal profession’

I was gonna get him to sign as 'The Bookslut' instead... :D

What I think:-
This book have met all the objectives stated at the back cover. For someone who is with almost zero knowledge on property law in Malaysia, this is THE BOOK to look out for and to read in order to grasp the basic ideas of what will you face when you buy a residential property. It tackle the introduction questions such as ‘What Is A Sale & Purchase Agreement’ to least-popular-but-equally-important questions on ‘Malaysia, My Second Home Scheme’ and on foreigners buying residential properties in Malaysia.
With the secondary school English level, most readers will find the content of this book is easy to understand by both Malaysian and foreign readers. No need to be a rocket scientist or even a lawyer….
My favourite and I think THE MOST IMPORTANT question of all is how to recognize licensed lawyers. I bet not all of us know it and you have to read this book to find out. *wink*

Read more about this social-media savvy lawyer at his blog or follow him @kruel74 for his daily thoughts. Don’t forget to come to MPH Megastore in 1 Utama on 15th May 2010 (Saturday) between 4pm – 5pm where Khairul himself together with the legal team from Khairul, Suhaila & Hazlina firm will offer free legal advice on property.

Author note to the author (pun intended.. lol),
I know this is waaaaay overdue but this is the review that I’ve promised to you. So sorry for the delay but I haven’t forgotten my promise laaa…

A Nightmare on Elm Street Premier Screening

*stretching arms*
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn….
*rubbing eyes*
Is it spring already?

Oh hi…. Guess I’m back from hibernation. I think this would be the longest barren-blog-post period I had so far. Two months plus… Geez…

Ok, this will be a quick wake-up post before I could start updating my blog again.

Thanks alot to Ellie and Advertlets, I got the chance to re-live my childhood nightmare last night. Apart from the scary Pennywise the clown in It, Freddy Krueger is the other character that actually scared me so much that I can’t sleep at night when I was a kid.

One... Two... Freddy's coming for you....

I reached Mid Valley Megamall around 6pm, grab my super-late-lunch aka very-early-dinner and my usual dose of King William Chocolate from Boost Juice Bars (Dang! I just found out that they have banana bread promo every Tuesday there.)

The ticket collection counter was open at 8pm and after lining up in the long queue for quite sometime, I got my ticket and it’s already admission time.

Ok, this is what I think about the movie. Personal opinion from someone who had watched all 6 films of A Nightmare on Elm Street (but I can’t remember everything I’ve watched okay)

This 2010 American slasher film is a so-so attempt to remake the original A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). Overall, I feel this version is predictable (except for a few scenes) as I think they ‘recycle’ most the element from the original version. So, if you had watched the earlier versions as much as I did, you might find this version… How should I say this…. Flat?!

The cast? Not bad. Both Rooney Mara (as Nancy Holbrook) and Kyle Gallner (as Quentin Smith) did a good job as lead characters. Call me bias but Jackie Earle Haley can’t live up to my expectation as the next Freddy Krueger despite his numerous credentials. To me Robert Englund is still the best person to potray that character.

Despite of the not-so-positive review from me, I love the ending scene! Truly unexpected and horrified.
Wanna know what I’m talking about? Catch it in your nearest cinema on 13th May 2010.

Come and share your nightmare...

Here is another treat for you. Check out their A Nightmare On Elm Street Malaysia Fan Page
and take part in their photography contest. Choose from any of the three themes (Welcome to your new nightmare, Never sleep again and He knows where you sleep) and who knows, you just might walk away with a DSLR camera.
