Finally, I manage to post this up.. XD

Thanks to Michael Song, I managed to get 2 tickets to the Levi’s Unbuttoned Launch Party. Michael is such a darling to give me extra ticket so that I can bring along someone else to accompany me (’since you are also one of the female readers who apply for the passes, I will extend additional one(1) passes for your friend or boyfriend to accompany you’). I managed to ‘paksa-rela’ or get my sister to accompany me.

So, on the 23rd Aug 2008, we hitch a ride with our parents to KL and arrived at the club around 7.30pm…

~Yeay! We are here~

~It’s pronounced as ‘rooms’ not ‘rams’ (pronounciation 101 from my sister)~
Upon entry, we were given a goodie pack, a Levi’s button/badge, a stick-on tatto and a complimentary drink coupon. While queuing at the entrance, we met some of my sister’s friends from college.

As expected, the event kicked-off about an hour late that planned.. *sigh*

There are performances from the Levi’s Next Song Writer Contest, rapper extraordinaire Point Blanc, Malaysian rockers Hujan and LapSap DJs Blink and XU. In between performances, there are lucky draws of some Levi’s merchandise such as a Levi’s watch and even a limited edition Levi’s iPod shuffle which we are not lucky enough to get any of it *sigh* and a Levi’s fashion show which ended with 2 of the male models ripped off (not really) their t-shirt and throw ‘em to the audience…. *eewww…. gross*

During Hujan’s perfomance, I went to the washroom (I hate their toilet as there is no running water inside the cubicle and they just ran out of toilet papers) and after awhile I got out, the club is literary empty. I asked my sis, ‘What happened?? Did they chased them out??’. ‘Nope, everyone left once Hujan finished their performance’, quipped my sis. I wonder what these people see in that band…. Just another Malay band.. Nothing special, nothing outstanding…. And so, we left the club..

~Our goodie packs consist of a sample pack of Campbell’s Soup, lotsa pamphlets and discount vouchers that can’t be used in Penang (duh). The only thing in this goodie pack that I can use is the Levi’s mouse pad :D~

This is my first event that I’ve attended and hopefully there will be more. Oh ya, pardon for the bad quality of the pictures taken from my beloved IXUS 75… I’m still raising the fund for DSLR camera.. XD
