Potential Employer? I think not!

I’ve received a call last friday 13/4/08 (what a bloody friday) from a potential employer regarding on my application for a vacancy in their customer service dept. here how it’s goes (as much as i cud remember):-

Ring…ring…my hp’s ringing (around 11:25am at the office)

me: hello, good morning

guy: hello, who is this?

me: may i know who’s speaking?

guy: who is this speaking?

me: (irritated) to whom do u wanna speak to?

guy: i wanna know, who’s that speaking.

me: (double irritated) u r the one who called this number, u shud know to whom u wanna talk to.

guy: did u apply a job from LTS Group? Customer Service?

me: (huh?) ah yes, i did. U r from LTS Group? may i know who’s speaking there?

guy: is this how u answer the phone? is this how ur customer service?

me: (stupid $#$%, my hp is my personal line, not my working line) well, i did received anonymous calls lately (i lied on this part), so i just being careful.

guy: oh, it’s ur fault coz u giving ur phone number to everyone. what is ur expected salary? we can only give u rmxxxx

me: (this guy is asking for trouble) sir, who knows, u can get it from someone who has it.. my expected is rmxxxx

guy: oh, then i think u r not suitable as we can’t pay u that high..

me: oh, it’s ok then. thank u for considering me. -hang up-

so..this guy had pissed me off and critisizing me..we’ll see.. soon after, i called the HR manager (nice lady, Ms. Michelle Lim) and complaint about the call. since the jerk din tell me his name, i dun have much info/proof. i was telling her on how unprofessional and how unethical the call was made and on how the dept head (the guy) lack of telephone etiquette and skills to call up candidates for an interview and the fact the guy dared to critisize me over the phone. she nicely calm me down and said she knows the guy and will talk to him on this matter. WARNING! Do Not have any relation/contact/business with LTS Group customer service coz their customer service dept head sucks! just imagine how’s the rest of the team.

    If it was me whom they called.. he would have gotten something like this…

    “Who the hell are you?? you’re calling my number and asking who am i? tak de hotak ke ape?”

    Then after he says “is this how u answer the phone? is this how ur customer service?”

    “Dude.. I’m not customer service right now.. this is my private line.. and for your info.. you can keep your fucking job coz if everyone’s like you.. work is sure to be hell… ok bye now.. oh and before i forget.. go get a fucking life too.”

    -hangs up-

    people like these should be put back into their place.. so what if they are calling to konon nye interview you in the phone kan.. mampus ah.. kalau perangai nak mcm tu.. baik tak payah ;)

    former rock chick: i wish i had your gut and creativity.. :p there is no way a i’m gonna work with a person with that attitude.

    jason: lts group is one of the forwarding company in penang. quite big and famous here.

    Lol… The guy sure sounds like a major asshole.. it’s amazing he actually said “oh, it’s ur fault coz u giving ur phone number to everyone”

    Hahahahha.. this is the first time I hear such ridiculous statement from a telephone interview..
