I’ve arrived from Penang around 4am in the morning at Hentian Jalan Duta. It was freaking cold and luckily I don’t have to wait long as my bro an my mom already waiting for me at the station. Reached home, have a quick chat with my mom and I’ve dozed off somewhere near 6am (shoot, I only have less than 2 hours to sleep).
Woke up, get ready, had a quick breakfast. Me and my dad went off to our polling station at SK Jalan 4, BBBangi, Selangor (we got the same station) and my mom went off to the clinic as she’s not feeling so well (poor Mom got sick on the election day).

~~and waited…. geez, these SPR staffs are really slow~~

I thought I’m the only one that actually brings a camera into a polling area but nnnoooo… there’s a bunch of uncles and aunties whipped out their digital cameras or camera phones! Pakciks and Makciks nowadays so canggih wooorrr…

~~Finally, we are there! Phew!!~~

At the SPR counter, they will check your IC against the voters list and issue a your polling counter/station and serial number.

~~While waiting outside the polling counter/station. Hello.. They really should update the poster, we no longer use the ‘brick’ type handphones.~~

Queued up (again) in front of the my designated polling counter/station (it’s actually a classrom). They actually called the voters one by one into the classroom. Inside the classroom, I’d see a table with 3 SPR staffs, handling the voters; a table with 2 observers, checking on the voters ID; another table for the polling officer, right opposite the SPR staffs table; a table for the ballot boxes and 2 tables for voters to cast their votes. The SPR staffs will signalled you to come inside, one person will check your IC again and reads out your serial number, your IC number and your full name, LOUDLY. Seriously, it’s kinda weird having a stranger calling out your full name and full IC number in front of a group another strangers. Another SPR staff will hand-out 2 ballot papers to you (one is for DUN candidate and the other one is for Parliament candidate).

~~This girl looks familiar, maybe we went to the same school together.. Hhhmm…~~

Once I got into the voting booth, I quickly cast my votes and took a picture (hehehehe). Do you know that they actually provide you with a pencil to mark your ballot papers?? A PENCIL???? It could be easily rubbed off/erased, kay?? Anyway, since the polling officer started to get suspicious of me (it took me a while to cast my votes and whipped out my camera phone to snap a pic), I quickly folded my ballot papers into half (only fold it in half, you can’t fold it any other way), and put them in the transparent boxes according to their colour. And guess what I could see?? I can actually see other people’s votes as some of the ballot papers opened up inside the box and you can see them through the so-called transparent boxes. I quickly left the classroom, saw my dad waited for me outside the school compound and complained to me that he waited for there for more than 10mins (sorry Dad, I’ve been bitten by a shutter bug ;p). We went back home and it’s time for us to bring my Mom back to Paroi, Seremban as she will cast her vote there.

~~Who do you think I voted for?? *wink* *wink* *wink*~~

Ssshhhhhhhh!!! Your vote is secret ya?? But with the 6 digit serial number on the ballot papers, I kinda doubt that….. ;p
I’ve done my duty, how about u??
