What!? A fish for only 40cent?
A snapshot from my night market aka ‘pasar malam’ trip yesterday..
Approched a stall selling lotsa fish, prawns and etc. etc.
Scan all the choices, picked a Japanese threadfin Bream aka ‘ikan kerisi’ and put it in the basket.
Me: ‘Bang, nah ikan’ (Sir, here’s the fish)
Fish guy: ‘Apa!? sekor aje? (What!? just 1 fish)
Me: Kenapa!? tak boleh jual ke? (Why? you can’t sell 1 fish?)
With that stupid look on his face, he took the basket and weigh the fish.
Me: Berapa? (How much?)
Fish guy: 40sen (40cent)
Me: **Huh** Hands out a RM1 note
Fish guy: Hands out the fish in the plastic bag plus change
Me: Terima kasih! (Thank you) *grinning*
Dang… damn cheap! ;p
